India pathway after Class 10 and Class 12

A named preschool route is Diploma in Preschool Education (DPSE). The National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) framework describes two academic years and preparation for preschool children aged 3-6. Its current programme introduction still lists DPSE, checked 1 November 2026: Source: web.ncte.gov.in . The detailed framework is Source: ncte.gov.in . This is a programme example, not one rule for every childcare or school job. In Andhra Pradesh, check the current provider recognition, admission notice and employer's age-group requirements. A short childcare certificate is not automatically equivalent to this teacher-preparation route.

Portfolio or evidence

Fictional input pack

  • Four invented routine cards: A collect paper, B draw a circle, C colour it, D display drawing. Fictional child says “I should colour before drawing because colour is first on the box.” No actual child information is collected.
  1. Notice: This is a made-up situation. You can begin without knowing this career already. Read the four routine cards and the fictional learner response. Notice why the learner puts colouring first.
  2. Try: Create a four-step picture sequence. Revise the explanation with a visible outline example that addresses the supplied confusion. Work on paper or a digital page and aim to finish in 15 minutes. The estimate is a guide, not a deadline.
  3. Reflect: Check whether the revised explanation gives a reason for drawing before colouring. What did responding to the learner reveal about teaching?

Show a model outline first, then demonstrate colouring inside it. Ask the fictional learner what must be visible before colouring. Check understanding rather than simply repeating the same words more loudly.
